Well, I swore I wasn’t going to do so much detail on these things from now on, and I think I might have just failed. This graceful griffin is taking the place of the “Six Geese-a-Laying” and simply refused to be uncomplicated. I honestly intended to do a rough, sketchy style for this one, but in the end the griffin won out, and insisted that I give her plenty of fluffy feathers, as well as dynamic lighting so that, in the end, only the backdrop remained roughed in.
Even the male of the pair, who can be seen in the distance taking his turn soaring out to hunt for food, just had to have visible feathers on his wings as he flew across the sunset miles away. Maybe I can control myself better on the next one… maybe.
